Lot 102:
Description
This lot consists of two silver-toned metal smoking accessories, including a rectangular cigarette case and a cylindrical tube-style lighter. The cigarette case features an engine-turned guilloché pattern on the exterior lid, consisting of repeating concentric semi-circles in a fish scale or scalloped design. The case is constructed with a hinged opening and a push-button clasp. The accompanying lighter is a slim, cylindrical tube with a polished finish. Both items are composed of a silver-toned metal, likely chrome-plated or nickel-plated brass or steel. No maker marks or manufacturer stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces. The items reflect the Art Deco style prevalent in the mid-20th century.
Condition report:
Both items are in good vintage condition with signs of light surface wear. Fine scratches and minor scuffing are present on the polished surfaces, consistent with age and regular use. The plating remains largely intact with a bright, reflective finish. No significant dents or structural damage are observed.
