Description
The central oval glazed compartment contains decorative hairwork arranged in a Prince of Wales feathers motif, consisting of three plumes bound at the base with fine gold-tone wire and three small white seed pearls. The hairwork is set against a light-colored ground. The gold frame features a beaded inner border and four raised foliate bosses positioned at the compass points. The reverse of the brooch is fitted with a long hinged pin stem that extends beyond the frame and is secured by a C-clasp.

Condition report:
The brooch is in good antique condition. The hairwork and seed pearls are secure and well-preserved under the original glass. The gold frame exhibits minor surface wear, light scratches, and some tarnish on the reverse consistent with age. The pin mechanism is functional.
