Description
This vintage triple-strand choker necklace is constructed with three rows of cream-colored simulated pearls and silver metal components. The central focal point is a large, oval-cut, faceted blue sapphire set within a halo of smaller simulated pearls. The strands are held in alignment by two vertical silver spacer bars. The necklace features a hook-and-tail closure with an adjustable extender chain that terminates in a single pearl bead. The construction and aesthetic are characteristic of mid-20th-century costume jewellery specifically in the style of pieces popularized by Diana, Princess of Wales.
