Description
A hand-carved pendant depicting a seated Budai, or Laughing Buddha, featuring a smiling expression and a prominent rounded belly. The figure is shown with robes draped over the shoulders and arms. The piece is carved from a translucent pale green hardstone, identified as Type A jadeite. The material exhibits a waxy luster and natural internal clouding. The carving is rendered with stylized details on the face and garment folds. The reverse is unadorned and polished smooth.
Height: approximately 25 mm.
Condition report:
The carving is in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant abrasions. The stone maintains a smooth, polished finish.
