Description
This lot consists of two white metal personal accessories including a hand mirror and a purse. The handheld mirror features a high-relief embossed rose and foliate design on the reverse, with a red textile background visible through the openwork cast frame. The handle is ornately styled with scrolls and pierced sections. The second item is a small coin purse or chatelaine pouch constructed from linked white metal chainmail rings. It features a curved metal frame with a ball-clasp closure and a suspension ring at the top for attachment. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible on either item.
Condition report:
The mirror glass exhibits significant signs of age, including prominent desilvering, foxing, and surface spotting. Both items show general surface tarnish and minor wear consistent with age. The chainmail mesh appears to be intact with no significant loss of links.
