Description
This pair of cufflinks features rectangular, slightly convex faces set with slices of translucent cognac-colored amber. The amber exhibits prominent internal spangle inclusions and appears to be natural Baltic amber. The stones are mounted within a silver frame along one edge, which is attached to a standard swiveling T-bar mechanism. The construction and style are indicative of mid-century jewelry design. No hallmarks, purity stamps, or maker marks are visible on the metal surfaces.
Condition report:
The silver metal exhibits heavy patina and surface tarnish throughout. The amber slices appear to be in good condition with no visible chips or fractures. The swivel mechanisms are functional.
