Description
This collection consists of 17 vintage costume jewelry brooches and pins featuring a variety of botanical, animal, and abstract motifs. The items are constructed from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals with various finishes including textured, brushed, and polished surfaces. Botanical designs include multiple leaf styles such as maple leaves, stylized fronds, and a floral filigree medallion. Animal-themed pieces include a small turtle with green rhinestone eyes and a stylized winged insect accented with red rhinestones. Abstract designs feature swooping curves, a gold-tone bow, and a seashell motif. The collection also includes two bar pins, one with a central faux pearl and another with a twisted knot design. Embellishments across the collection include white faux pearls of various sizes, clear round-cut and pave-set rhinestones, and one translucent amber-colored cabochon set within a maple leaf. The collection is in good vintage condition. All major components and decorative stones appear to be present. There is minor surface wear and oxidation to the metal finishes consistent with age and use. Pin mechanisms have not been tested for functionality.
