Description
A rectangular cigarette case of stamped metal construction. The front cover is embellished with an applied floral scroll element. The edges of the case are detailed with an engine-turned linear border. The reverse of the case features a hand-engraved inscription reading B.S. Christmas 1945. The interior is unadorned and includes a thumbpiece for opening. No maker marks or hallmarks are present.
Condition report:
The item exhibits heavy surface oxidation and a dark patina throughout. The hinge and thumbpiece are intact and functional.
