Description
A pair of articulated fish pendants constructed from gold-toned metal with polychrome enamel. Both pieces feature multi-segmented bodies that allow for fluid movement. The larger fish is decorated with red, dark blue, and white enamel. The smaller fish features blue and gold-toned accents. Each item is fitted with a jump ring at the mouth for suspension. These designs are characteristic of mid-20th-century Chinese cloisonné jewellery. No hallmarks or maker marks are present on either item.
Length of larger fish: approximately 35 mm
Length of smaller fish: approximately 20 mm.
Condition report:
Both items are in good condition. The enamel is largely intact on both pieces with no significant chips or losses visible. The articulating joints are functional and allow for free movement.
