Description

This two-handled earthenware art pottery vase is produced in the Seville pattern, attributed to the British manufacturer Thomas Forester and Sons, circa 1930. The vessel features a bulbous form with a short neck and flared rim, flanked by two loop handles that join the rim to the shoulder. The hand-painted decoration consists of stylized, tiered motifs in shades of blue and green, set against a bright yellow ground detailed with fine vertical hatched lines. The interior rim and the base are finished with a solid orange glaze. No maker marks are visible on the exterior of the piece.

Height: approximately 11 to 12 cm (4.5 to 5 inches).

Condition report:

The vase is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. The surface shows minor glaze skips and irregularities typical of hand-painted earthenware from this period.
